Birds, Flowers and Spring!

Well, saw this little one sitting in my Cherry Tree and not quite sure what it is - I am thinking it is a Thrusher! Haven't had a chance to look it up in my bird book. Being still new to Middle Georgia, I am trying to learn about the birds and plants that are in this area.
If you look close you can see the buds on the tree.
By next week it will be bloomed and all white and pinkish.
Now this little Robin was sitting outside my bathroom window - He is quite stately don't you think!!
Today is setup for the Cherry Blossom Festival and the Ikebana group I belong to does floral arrangements at one of the Historic homes - the picture below is of a design I did in my Ichiyo design class. I am a beginning student!! This is a very disciplined art form, but I am enjoying it. I will have more pictures to share after all the arrangements are done, hopefully today!!

Well, I have to run - need to get one more bunch of flowers and then off to do my designs.

Have a great day - the weather should be warmer here today 60's!!! fingers crossed.

Roberta,
Your bird pictures are so lovely. They really promise that Spring is not far away. Jack was delighted yesterday as he had a first sighting of a thrush in our garden. We get many thrushes but this was a Mistle Thrush and so was extra special - to bird watchers that is. To me it was another pretty little bird..haha!
I love the flower arrangement. It's so delicate.
Hugs Angela

I love to see the birds coming out of their winter blahs. I heard the sweetest song from a bird this evening.

Like you I love the birds, and it's one of the most impressive things to watch them in the trees, at the feeding place and in the garden, and to listen to their songs. Since a week we have been listening to the blackbirds' songs in the mornings and evenings again. And it's like a wonder to hear them again.
As for the flowers, well, there's nothing like that in the garden yet. I just a bit more patience. And meanwhile I look at the lovely red roses my husband gave me for my birthday.
Have a great weekend.
