There seems to be never enough time!!

Hi dear friends, Thank you for stopping by and I am so sorry for not being as attentive with my blog writing and reading - just so much going on, all good, just trying to settle in the new house and yard.

After my walk today, I started deadheading and clipping my daylillies, but as the temperature started creeping up, I had to head back into the house. Today we are having some friends from Miami stopping by for the afternoon and night. They will head home tomorrow morning, then Terry and I will head up to Flat Rock, NC to visit with friends for the weekend.

I am a bit behind with my e-mails and like I said my blog reading - and at this rate may not get caught up until Monday!!!

I have been very faithful with trying to stitch each and every day and yes, I have had a finish or maybe two, will post when my life gets more organized!!!

Please all have a wonderful weekend and I will try to get back on track next week!! Promise!! ;o)

With friendship, fabric, fibers and flowers,
Roberta

Felting class

This past Saturday I took a felting class at the LKS. It was so interesting and I just loved it. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with the piece that I felted, but something will be done!
This is what the roving looked like before we started.
My inspiration was these little felted buttons that I found - so I am hoping to incorporate them in my final design!

Crepe Myrtles are in bloom

I have several Crepe Myrtle trees in my yard and they have been in full bloom for the past month or so. The trees in my yard are white, but they do come in pinks and lavender colors. This weekend is the Crepe Myrtle Festival - we may try to go - we'll see how hot it will be.
It seems that my yard is ever changing with the seasons - when one set of plants drop their blooms another group will show their colors. The previous owner of this house did an incredible job with the yard and garden of this house. I only hope that I am a diligent as she was.
Yesterday, I went to Savana and picked up my sister. She spent a few days in Jacksonville, Florida with a friend and then we meet at the halfway point. Jean and I tour a bit in Savana and had a fun afternoon then we headed back to Macon - Will try to keep you all updated as to what we will be doing this week.

Thanks for stopping by ---- Roberta
