On one of my groups, several of the gals decided to have a monthly ornament SAL. We started in December and I was able to stitch 3 little ornament this month.
This is my first December ornament.
This is my second stitched "Believe" - love this simple little design from The Sampler Girl. I think I like the lettering which is just really neat!! The background fabric is what I hope to finish this ornament in.
I had stitched this stocking some time ago, but have never finished it until now. This is a matching stocking that I gave to my girlfriend a few years ago - this is for her husband.
Wishing you all a Wonderful and Happy New Year ----- Roberta

Christmas decorations
Here is the newest tree to our household. It is a woodland tree with pinecones and very spacey branches. This is the downstairs entryway and there just needed to be a tree there to greet guests. In the dining room is the aluminum tree. This was a birthday present to my husband many years ago. Dear friends, Diane and Mildred, were poking around in an antique shop in Pennsylvania and found this and knew who to give this tree too. My husband has cherished this tree and very lovingly puts it up and takes it down. It still has the original branch storage sleeves and newspaper wrapping/stuffing.
Was out and about doing errands when my friend Dorothy and I came across a craft setup near a Joann Fabric store. This angel was sitting there (along with several other angel friends) She is made from an old hymnal. The pages are folded to create her dress and the wings are folded from the beginning and ending pages. I just love her! She is perfect for my piano.
On one of my yahoo groups, several of the girls are doing an ornament a month (or more!!)SAL. This is what I have stitched and finished so far this month. Hope to have anothe one stitched by Christmas day eve!!!Below, is a pair of socks that I knitted for my sister for Christmas, she is also getting the above ornament. Merry Christmas Jeansy!! HOPE EVERYONE IS ENJOYING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. MY BEST WISHES FOR A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON FOR YOU ALL.
Thank you for dropping by for a visit. Roberta

December is my Birthday month!
Sorry for being away for so long, but as you all are experiencing - Christmas is Coming!!! and there seems to not be enough hours in the day!!!
My birthday was at the beginning of this month and I wanted to share with you some of the goodies that I received. First, my husband paid for the ivory accessories that go with 2 of my Jackie DuPlessis workshop pieces. They are buried at the moment but will bring them up for air in January. My daughter gave me the "Tinkerbell" movie I just love Tinkerbell, have way before she became popular!!
My sister gave me the Williams and Sonoma Acorn muffin pan - I just love it, have used is several times and it will be in use again on Christmas day.
This lovely lace came from a dear friend in England - Hazel - she also sent some lovely threads.
Another dear friend - Nancy sent a Needle Minder with my initial - it is so nice and some wonderful needles. Hazel's lace and thread packs are there also.
Dear Christine another wonderful friend made this card and stick pin - isn't this just beautiful, I am so impressed with her artistic talent.
Heidi, from The Netherlands another stitching friend - sent along these darling Rooster spoons
and this beautiful pillow cover. Notice how nice it goes with my guest room comforter!!
Well need to hurry off and cook dinner. Hope to have some Christmas decoration pictures for you this weekend.
