My stitching areas

Happy New Year friends, I thought I would show you where I stitch.

The three pictures below is my stitching area in the morning. This is my kitchen table and when I get up I get a cup of coffee and turn on the news and stitch. I have a basket behind my chair that I put everything in when I am not stitching at the table. There is a TV across from me under a cabinet. I also, have a laptop nearby so that I can do a quick e-mail check. Below is the area in my sewing room where I stitch. I have 2 good size windows in front of me, my computer is to my right and I have a TV to the left and a radio, CD/Tape player behind me. All in all I have a very comfortable environment. There is also a daybed at one end of the room just in case I need a nap ;o)).

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post some stitching that I have finished and some pieces that I have finished stitching -- see you then --- thank you for stopping by. Roberta

I can picture you in your stitching area, music playing and a nice cup of coffee in your hand and all your sewing laid out ready to start the day. You seem well organised Roberta. Thank you for sharing a special place in your home with us.
Hugs,
Hazel

Roberta, I loved getting to see your stitching area! I can just picture you there so well. You have amazing self-control... I don't think I'd be able to have the computer and my stitching in the same spot. I'd never stop checking my mail!! LOL ;)

Well, I could never stitch in the chairs you use. I have to have my rocker, padded, and my feet up. lol.
I do watch TV when I stitch. One of the blogs I visit has a wonderful Chaise and I have always wanted one. I thought I had no place for one, but now the wheels are turning.
Happy stitching, and that is a nice picture of your DH.

I loved seeing where you stitch Roberta. Is this where you do your beeswax too? I think of you every time I look at my waxers! Enjoy :)

Roberta,
How inspiring to see the places where you stitch especially your lovely spot in the kitchen. What a great way to start the day! I think I shall keep a basket of stitching tucked away in several different corners, that way there will always be something to hand :>)
Warm hugs, Angela

It is interesting to see how people stitch. I know it ain't rocket science, but I never thought of putting things in a basket...I do a lot of stitching on the couch or chair and ottoman in front of the television. My scissors, thread, et. al. fall between a cushion or get under the throw or under me...frustrating. I'm going to implement that basket idea starting tonight. (Wish I was retired; work so gets in the way of living! LOL)
