Another exchange gift

Good Day everyone, just wanted to publicly express my sadness and lack of understanding for the need to kill and hurt innocent people.  My heart and prayer goes out to the families in Newtown, Conn.

Below is a fun little tag that I made using some of those ribbon scraps that we sometimes have (I also used full sized too)  I also took an acorn top and put a rusty bell as the nut part, I also am using shiny bells too.

Had another gift exchange last week - I made a stitching bag.

Only two more exchange events left - one gift is done but for one little things and I still have to start the last of the exchange gifts for Thursday's gathering.

Other than that, just have to get the Christmas Cards done!!! some food shopping and could add a few more decorations!!

Hoping you all are enjoying this Holiday Season.
Merry Christmas to you all.

Tea Cup Winnings

In the previous post, I showed you all the gifts I had made for the Tea Cup Auction at our Christmas  Party with my stitching friends in Columbus, GA.  How this works is you buy tickets and them drop them into the cup of whatever gift you want to win.  the cost was 100 tickets for $20.  Great deal and a great fundraiser for our group.

Below were the freebies that contributed - among them is a little kit from Fern Ridge along with a little sewing kit.
Here is my winnings - a bag of various linens, two charts one with linen and wool felt, a pin cube made from paper and then this darling Longaberger basket filled with an acorn waxer, an acorn magnet, a small glass tube for needles and a stitched pin cushion made from a napkin ring and 3 beaded pins.

One of our ladies' husband love to go yard saling and he picks up all kinds of interesting things.  Below is a neat sewing table that I was lucky to win.
Can you believe that somebody actually got rid of these darling Santas!!
These are what I call pity tickets, I dropped one ticket into the cup and of course I win them.  I put the tickets in to encourage others - but I have to tell you, I love them - some I might just reframe.

Now this is one of my favorite things - it is a knitted scarf made by someone I really admire and I was so excited that I won her contribution to the Tea Cup.

Thank you for stopping by.  Merry Christmas.

Some stitching

What with Christmas coming up there are holiday gatherings within my stitching groups.  Below are some things I put together for a "tea cup" Christmas gathering.

Above is a little 'humbug' from FernRidge and I found some cute fabric that matched the humbug so I made a little ORTS bag to go with it.

The picture above and below is a reversible bag I made to hold the home made Biscotti that I made for the Tea Cup Auction.
Below are two little ornaments that will hang on the library tree/or/wreath that our EGA group in Columbus decorates.
Sorry for the sidewards shot, haven't quite figured out everything with the new computer yet!!

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and that you are not stressing out.

New Computer new Life

Have been without a computer for a bit due to DH's computer kicking the bucket!!  So since he is a professor he needed a computer fast so mine was confiscated!!

I am now the proud owner of a new laptop (no more desktop) so I am feeling the wonder of freedom to carry around my computer from the kitchen table to the sewing room.  At first I was going to get an IPAD but since DH leaves his at home I can just use his - right!! so now I can stay - hopefully uptodate with everything between the laptop and the IPAD.

All of photos are on the other computer and I will getting them off of there sometime soon.

Have been doing some stitching and getting ready for the holidays.

Once all the stitching has been done, I am hoping that I can get caught up with my blogging.  Do miss seeing what you all have been up to.

Do take care and enjoy the holiday season.
