What I have been stitching

At the end of April, I will be taking a workshop with Sherri Jones from Patrick Woods Designs. Below is the prestitching that needs to be done - the class is a finishing class for this 'Hare Pyns' pocket.
This design is mostly stitched over one thread with one strand of silk (NPI).
  • Bulleted ListWith the exception of the flame/bargello stitch which is stitched over 4 threads with 2 threads.
Below is the scissor sheath.
This is the back -flame stitch and the front panel is the flower. The flower is stitched using tent stitch and encroaching gobelin, this is very tiny work!!
Below is the scissor fob front and back.
This is all the stitching I have done up to today - will be working on this steadily for the next few weeks.
But just to give me some breaks from Hare Pyns - I have started LHN 'needle and thread'
I already stitched this little scissor fob.
As previously posted I also finished 'spring' - still haven't put anything into a finished form - hoping for that to happen next weekend - have to be in the mood to 'finish'!!!

Thanks for stopping by - have lots more to share with you - hope to do so in a few days.

Have a great weekend everyone --- Roberta

Oh you're so lucky to be taking that class! I so want to take it!!! Love seeing all that you've stitched so far. I've only seen the main part with the bunny so this is great! I also love that pea pod piece -- who is the designer on that? And the LHN piece too -- wonderful! Have a great time at your class!

Beautiful stitching!

I've wanted to email you about socks for your DH, but can't locate your address. My email is: kingfam1192@aol.com :)

Oh, now seeing your progress on the Hare Pyns piece, I really, really wish that I had taken this class. She comes to our Guild occasionally and I've never signed up. The Bargello alone on this piece is worth taking the class for. It's beautiful and I can't wait to see more of your progress. I love the LHN piece too - I've added to stash but still have started it yet.

You have made great progress. I had a frog infestation and just finished re-stitching the offending area this weekend. I will keep plugging along and hope to catch up soon.

Wow! Roberta, you are really coming along nicely on Hare Pyns! I am steadily working on it, too, and really enjoying it. Sure hope I can finish it before our class! Hiddy showed me a little piece that goes with it--a little tiny notebook and you stitch the cover, called "Hare Lines" and the hare has a pencil behind his ear--too cute! We HAVE to get that, too! Keep up the good work! Love you!

I've never been to a needlework class in my life and can only dream about such things.
That is such a lovely project. I'm looking forward to seeing it when it is finished.
