Some spring stitching and an exchange received

I have had it with the cold windy weather!!!

Mother Nature tickled us with some beautiful 60/70 degree weather this past weekend and then changed her mind and send us more cold weather - it was 24 degrees this morning!!! Now I know that is nothing to those of you who live in the Northern part of the USA, but it is cold for us here in the South. (Now mind you I am a Northern gal born and bred, but have been away from that kind of cold for a long time.)

So since I was house bound due to not feel very well, I pulled out this old Bent Creek Chart and started stitching Spring Row!! I hope to be done with it by tomorrow and I plan to make it into a pillow - now all I have to do is finish and then find where I put the buttons!!!
I just love the thread colors and the fabric is a soft green (green is one of my favorite colors) I already have the fabric for the pillow, which I will post when the stitching is finished - now all I have to do is find the buttons!!!!

Receive a wonderful surprise in the mail yesterday - I belong to an Ornament Swap and I received my ornament from Amy Isn't if just darling, I love the colors and the workmanship is just wonderful - Thank you Amy!Thanks for dropping by -------------- Roberta

Roberta,
What a lovely optimistic design to be stitching on while the weather tries to make up it's mind. We've had similar inconsistent weather but not such highs and lows and today definitely had an air of Springiness to it.

What a really pretty little stocking you received from Amy. These BD 'spatterns are really sweet.

Spring Row looks like a fun stitch and will make a cute pillow. Maybe Mother Nature will like and send warmer weather!

The stocking ornament from Amy is gorgeous!

Doing some spring stitching, that's exactly what we need now. The BC Spring Row is really perfect for getting some spring feeling on a cold day. We have been having mild temperatures here for the last 4 days and our snow is constantly melting away. It warms my heart when I look out the window in the mornings and see the heaps of snow reduced once again.
Enjoy your wonderful BBD ornament.
And happy belated anniversary to you and Terry!

Nice to see I'm not the only one waiting for Spring!!

Thank you for signing up for the Totally Useless SAL. Could I please ask you to go back to the blog and put a comment on the 2010 Sign Up Page, you actually left your comment on the 2009 page. I'm trying to keep them all together as a sort of 'master list'. And when you place the comment on the right page please include your general geographic location -- the nearest large city is fine if you don't want to name a small town. Thanks so much, I'll get you added to the Totally Useless Members' list soon. Hugs Yoyo

Hi Roberta. I just saw your comment on my blog about not being able to sign up for the TU SAL...I'm not sure what that meant? Are you having trouble posting on the blog in general? or Where you unable to post on the correct page? which is here Or was it something else altogether? Drop me an e-mail at yoyo_9203 at yahoo dot com and I'll see if I can't help you figure out the problem. We'd sure love to have you join us.
